Terence Crawford and Teofimo Lopez seemed to have buried their longstanding beef a few months back in Riyadh after “Bud” confronted “The Takeover” about bad-mouthing him in the media. In this video, Crawford pretty much big brothers Lopez, as Teo eventually admits he was just doing it for promotion. That prompted Crawford to say he no longer has to “f**k him up.”
But it seems not all is sunshine and rainbows between the two camps, as tensions boiled over backstage during the recent “Garcia vs. Romero” weigh ins between Crawford and an unidentified female member of the Lopez camp.
In the short clip embedded above, “Bud” can bee seen arguing with the woman as they get separated by security. Eventually, Crawford can be heard saying, “Shut up, before someone smacks the shit out of your dumb ass.” He then goes on to tell her, “Shut up, b*tch” (twice) before they go their separate ways.

The full context of the argument is not known, as the video is a short clip and there are always two sides to the story. And it seems to be an all-family beef, as one of Crawford’s sisters chimed in on social media.
In October of 2024, Lopez was asked who he would prefer to face between “Tank” and Bud,” saying, “Whichever monkey wants to get the banana. They are gorillas. I’m a lion. I eat them.”
A fight between the two pugilists has never come to fruition, as Crawford now has his eyes set on a much bigger fish to fry in the form of Canelo Alvarez, a bout which is currently in talks to go down in Sept. 2025 inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. As for Lopez, he has his hands full against Arnold Barboza Jr. later tonight (Fri., May 2, 2025) in New York City.
